Personal Injury Matters

Personal injury cases are civil matters in which a party is being held responsible for negligence or misconduct that results in injury to a person. Using a combination of in-house investigatory techniques (witness location, background checks and asset searches, confirming information stated in police reports) and field work (surveillance and witness interviews), FISI has examined personal injury matters involving vehicles, personal property, convalescent home/elder care, and businesses, including workman’s comp and construction defect matters.

No matter who the client is (Plaintiff or Respondent), FISI’s role is to determine the validity of these claims. FISI’s support is particularly beneficial in cases involving insurance companies that are pressuring parties to settle without doing their due diligence to verify or disprove a claim. In supporting the injured party (plaintiff), FISI collects evidence in an effort to prove that the defense (respondent) failed to ensure the personal safety of others, which can result in the maximum payout of damages. In supporting the accused party (defense), FISI collects evidence to prove a lack of negligence or misconduct conducted by defense, which, if proven, can eliminate the case altogether. If found liable, FISI can also confirm that the plaintiff’s claim of injury warrants the damages requested.
